The Cottage

The cottage was a straw loft when the house was renovated. It now has two spacious and characterful bedrooms, the main bedroom  being furnished with a double bed, bed side tables and wardrobe which are original to the house. There is comfortable futon provided as an extra bed. The second bedroom benefits from the morning sun. It is furnished with two single beds each with bedside tables and lamps, a fitted wardrobe and a chair.

The kitchen has been recently decorated and has a full range of kitchen equipment. A four ringed hob and oven are provided along with toaster, microwave and a fridge with a small freezer.

The living room ceiling is high at one end sloping down towards the other side of the room with oak beams supporting. A window seat beside the tall living room window looks down onto the courtyard. It is furnished with a dining table and four chairs, a two seater sofa plus two armchairs and a coffee table. Bookshelves house a small choice of books plus tourist information and a copy of the previous owner’s walking guide plus a few games. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player and free WIFI.

In the winter the living room is heated by a pellet stove (pellets can be purchased in Tremp or from the owner on site), the bedrooms have plug in radiators and the bathroom a gas heater. The electricity is metered in the winter months.

A door from the living room leads out onto a private terrace with outdoor table and chairs and parasol. There two loungers provided. It is half-roofed in a traditional style with traditional roof tiles over wooden slats. The terrace is one floor above the courtyard, as is the whole cottage and offers views towards the Montsec mountains.

The courtyard area is very attractive, surrounded by a characterful curved, high stone wall. A mature vine grows across the cottage and terrace walls and pots of flowers decorate the courtyard.Various herbs are grown in the terraced garden and guests are welcome to help themselves, as they are to the grapes which are for eating. There are free standing BBQ’s for the guests use which are situated in the approach tunnel to the Cottage.

There are also a couple of mountain bikes that guests are welcome to use. They are a bit old and heavy but serve the purpose.
